The findings of this study can be used to determine the differences and priorities of care in elderly age groups in policy making. Health care they need. Materials and Methods: This descriptive-analytic study was performed on 202 elderly people aged 60 years and older who were resident in Kermanshah. Data collection tools were a questionnaire in four sections: demographic information, five major factors questionnaire for Costa and McCarey, Templer death anxiety inventory and Beck Depression Inventory. Data were analyzed by SPSS software version 21 and Pearson correlation coefficient and t-test. Results: The results showed that there are significant relationships between the five factors of personality and death with depression in the elderly. Conclusion: According to personality traits in the elderly, conscientiousness and conscientiousness are related to death anxiety and depression. Therefore, it can be concluded that people who have different stages of life with purposefulness and finding the final meaning behind They accept the truth of death. And those who love life and have a purpose in life and have a more advanced personal philosophy on the subject of life and death than those who live on the surface, are less afraid of death and fewer officers see in them.
